Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Riley Rath is a music composition student currently attending the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. He specializes in orchestral compositions, but has experience in all facets of composing. He debuted in 2022 with the Millard West High School Orchestra, premiering his piece Trial of the Gladiator. His compositional career has only continued to blossom in his collegiate studies, earning an honorable mention in the 2025 Wheaton College Composers Competition for Overwater and securing his first international premiere in Brazil during the summer of 2026.
Ever the creative, Riley spends his free time improvising on his cello, designing with LEGO, and playing sandbox-style video games. He maintains a hobbyistic fascination with quantum physics, theoretical astronomy, and mathematical paradoxes. He also enjoys playing sports, watching movies, and going for walks.Â
